ADHD Assessments

 

Is your child often daydreaming, struggling to follow instructions or always on the go? Are they struggling at school or working so hard to keep up and not achieving to their potential? Are teachers concerned about their work ethic, behaviour or grades? Your child may benefit from a comprehensive assessment for ADHD.

 

Please note: A child needs to be at least 6 years old (or in kindergarten) before a diagnosis of ADHD will be considered.

Some of the assessment tools we may use to assess for ADHD:

  • Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI-IV)

  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V)

  • Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT-III)

  • Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-V)

  • MOXO-continuous performance test

  • Conners 4

  • Conners Early Childhood

  • Comprehensive Executive Function Inventory (CEFI)


All assessments include:​

  • An individual assessment with your child

  • Comprehensive clinical interview with parents/caregivers

  • Questionnaires and feedback from school and involved therapists

  • Review of reports regarding your child from involved professionals

  • Feedback from the assessing clinician on the results of the assessment
